HOW MICRO WORKS
From “I need a tool”
to a result you can use.
Discover a capability. Connect it to your work.
Keep the access, balance and order history in one place.
Find a tool for your task.
Explore the catalog by provider or capability. Open a tool to inspect its accepted inputs, billing unit and availability.
The directory includes tools that need your own provider access. Only tools enabled for Micro purchases can use your balance.
Create an account. Add credit.
Your workspace brings the balance, credentials and order history together. Add funds through Stripe Checkout once you have checked that the tool you need is available.
A $20 credit purchase adds $20 to your balance. Micro adds no deposit surcharge or subscription.
Connect your agent or application.
Connect an MCP client through Micro sign-in, create a scoped API key for server-side code or open the tool directly in the browser.
OAuth connections start read-only. Enable paid access explicitly, and set a budget that fits the work.
Review the request and approve a maximum.
Inspect the exact input and quote before creating an order. Micro holds your authorized maximum while the work is in progress.
A quote does not place an order or reserve funds. An order is a paid action; keep its ID and idempotency key.
Collect the output and exact charge.
Follow the original order to completion. When its charge settles, preview or download the result and inspect its usage details.
Unused reserved funds become available again. An uncertain provider outcome retains its hold until verified recovery.
